Cafe DuMonde is pretty much boss so i'm pumped that you mentioned it! and Nathaniel Hawthorne is one of my favorite authors so its awesome you were able to go to the 7 house.

Cafe DuMound in New Orleans serve the best beignets. They go great during Mardi Gras and with hot chocolate. Roll Tide..lol

beignet's at cafe du monde are tasty! Wings (in mobile) has them too. Although not comparable to new orleans.
